2. For a knocked-out tooth, rinse it gently without scrubbing, try to reinsert it if you can, and if not, store it in milk while you head to our office
3. For heavy bleeding, apply gentle, steady pressure with clean gauze until you reach us
4. For a broken or chipped tooth, rinse your mouth with warm water and save any pieces if possible
5. For swelling, apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek and avoid placing aspirin directly on your gums
