Crown or filling? How Dr. Knowles decides
A filling works when there's still plenty of healthy tooth to hold it. A crown makes more sense when a large filling keeps breaking, a crack has spread, or a root canal has left the tooth fragile.
Dr. Knowles will show you what he sees on screen using digital X-rays and our intraoral camera, so the recommendation isn't a mystery. If a filling or a smaller repair will do the job, he'll tell you that too.
