Dentures & Partials in St. Petersburg, FL
Full, partial, and implant-supported dentures, made to fit your mouth.

Missing several or all of your teeth changes how you eat, how you talk, and how comfortable you feel smiling. At Waterfront District Dental, Dr. Bart Knowles designs custom dentures and partials that fit well, look natural, and let you get back to normal life.
We’re at 180 4th Ave NE in downtown St. Pete, close to Beach Drive. Whether you need a full set, a partial to fill a few gaps, or you’re curious about anchoring dentures with implants, the first step is a conversation about what you want.
What Are Dentures and Partials?
Dentures are removable prosthetic devices designed to replace missing teeth and surrounding tissue. They are custom-made to fit your mouth precisely, restoring both aesthetics and function.
Depending on your needs, we offer:
Full Dentures
Replace all teeth in the upper or lower arch (or both). These restorations rest comfortably on your gums and are designed for stability, natural appearance, and comfort.
Partial Dentures
Used when some natural teeth remain, partials attach securely using discreet clasps or precision attachments. They fill in gaps while preventing remaining teeth from shifting out of place.
Implant-Supported Dentures
Implant-supported dentures snap onto a small number of dental implants, so they stay in place when you talk and chew. You can still take them out to clean them.

Dentures or Implants: How to Choose
Traditional dentures are the simplest place to start. They don’t need surgery, and for many people they’re the right fit. The tradeoff is that they rest on your gums, so they can shift over time, and the jawbone underneath slowly changes shape after teeth are lost.
Implants help with both. They hold dentures steady, and because they sit in the bone, they help preserve it. They cost more upfront and take longer, so they aren’t the right choice for everyone.
If you want a fixed set of teeth that stays in your mouth, ask about All-on-Four. If you’d like a removable option that’s more secure than a regular denture, ask about implant-supported dentures. Dr. Knowles will look at your bone, your health, and your goals and tell you which one he’d choose in your position.
How Much do Dentures Cost in St. Petersburg?
The cost depends on whether you need a full or partial set, the materials, how many teeth are involved, and whether any teeth need to come out first. Dr. Knowles will go over a clear plan with you at your consultation, before treatment starts.
We welcome PPO dental plans, and we offer financing through CareCredit and Cherry if you’d like to spread the cost out. You can read more on our patient information page.

FAQs About Dentures & Partials

Answer text goes here
How long does it take to get dentures?
Typically, it takes a few appointments over several weeks to design, craft, and fit your custom dentures.
Will dentures feel natural?
Yes. Modern materials and design techniques make dentures comfortable and realistic once adjusted to your mouth.
How long do dentures last?
With good care, dentures usually last 5–10 years before needing relining or replacement.
Can I eat normally with dentures?
Yes. After a short adjustment period, you’ll be able to enjoy most foods comfortably. Implant-supported dentures offer even greater stability.
Are dentures covered by insurance?
Many PPO plans cover part of the cost of dentures. Coverage varies, so call our team and we’ll go over what your plan is likely to cover.
How do I know if I need a full denture or a partial?
It depends on how many natural teeth you have and how healthy they are. If you still have teeth that can be saved, a partial often makes sense. If most of your teeth are failing, a full denture or implants may be the better choice. Dr. Knowles will explain what he sees and why.
Can I get dentures in one day?
Traditional dentures usually take several weeks, because they’re made to fit your mouth. If you have teeth that need to come out, Dr. Knowles will go over your timeline and what you’ll wear while you heal.
What can I do if my dentures don’t fit anymore?
Mouths change over time, so a denture that fit well a few years ago can start to feel loose or sore. Come in so Dr. Knowles can look at the fit. Depending on what he finds, the answer might be an adjustment, a new set, or implants to hold them steady.
What should I do if my denture breaks?
Call us as soon as you can and bring all the pieces. Skip the superglue, because it can make a proper repair harder. We treat broken dentures as an emergency.
